Sweet Adieu

Let me drink a toast,

And bid a fond farewell.

I want you to know

I only wish you well.

Fate brought you to me,

Just when I needed you.

Now the time has come

To bid a sweet adieu.

You were there for me,

A shoulder to lean on.

Giving me the strength

I needed to go on.

You will always have

A place here in my heart.

But the time has come

For us to be apart.

Now the moment's come

For us to say goodbye.

Though it may be hard,

I know that it is time.

With the passing years,

I know some things will fade.

But I won't forget

The memories we made.

I can only hope

When you remember me,

Just the best of times

Will be all that you see.

As I stand aside

And bid a sweet adieu,

That will be the way

I will remember you.
