Heaven-sent

In the sunshine of your smile,

I can hear the angels sing.

The love I have for you,

Can conquer anything.

I can climb the highest mountain,

I can ford the deepest stream.

I can face the flames of Satan,

As long as you're with me.

I knew that you were heaven sent,

The first time that we kissed!

I'd never felt that way before,

I'd never known true bliss!

In the sunshine of your smile,

Everything will be alright.

You can chase the blues away,

Just by coming into sight.

You can quiet all my fears,

You can turn me t'ward the light.

I can do whatever's needed,

'Cause I know you won't take flight.

I knew that you were heaven sent,

The first time that we kissed!

I'd never felt that way before,

I'd never known true bliss!

In the sunshine of your smile,

In the gentle way you speak.

You have shown me how to love,

And the qualities I seek.

You have made me realize,

That love isn't for the meek.

But true love is worth the fight,

You don't win by being weak!

I knew that you were heaven sent,

The first time that we kissed!

I'd never felt that way before,

I'd never known true bliss!
